Hi! Welcome To My Digital Declutter Blog!
This blog is specially designed for busy digital creators who feel like their digital life has gotten out of control.
From the time I was a small girl, the world of computers was my playground. You could find me tucked away, blissfully fixing, assembling, and disassembling my computer, tinkering with its bits and pieces until it worked just right. To everyone who knew me, it wasn’t a surprise when I chose a career in IT, armed with my diploma in IT Security.
But Technology Has Changed A Lot Since Then, Hasn’t It? And Nobody Taught Us How To Deal With It!
About Me
I confess, there was a time when I found myself drowning in an ocean of digital chaos. The number of emails was overwhelming, files seemed to multiply in the cloud, and constant notifications kept me on edge.
Have you ever looked enviously at the neighbor whose house is always tidy, no matter what? That was me with my digital life. I wondered how others seemed to have everything under control, while I was just trying to keep my virtual hallway guest-friendly. I was completely overwhelmed and had a constant fear that I’d missed something important.
My Experience
One day, I spent half a day searching for an important document. On another occasion, I missed an important meeting because I overlooked an email.
But You Know What They Say About Necessity Being The Mother Of Invention? That Was The Push I Needed.
I realized there was no way I could keep going like this. If I wanted to be truly productive, successful, and in control, I had to find a way to manage all this information.
I dove into this topic and sought solutions. I read books, I studied blogs, I took courses – and slowly, I realized I could turn this ship around. I created an easy system that worked for me, a digital hoarder.
So if I did it, you can do it too!
And you don’t have to be a tech expert to understand and implement these ideas!
Slowly but steadily, I tackled all critical areas of my digital life, such as email, cloud storage, my Canva account, and photos.
It didn’t happen overnight. But I was once again amazed at the power of small, regular actions toward a goal! I shifted my mindset and actions. After all, you can’t lose weight if you keep eating cakes for breakfast and lunch, right? Digital organisation finally became a habit, my second nature. And the simple system I created requires just a bit of maintenance. What a relief!
I began sharing my newfound wisdom with entrepreneurial friends and colleagues, running workshops, and helping others find their way out of digital chaos. Now, I’ve decided to write about it and create bite-sized courses and materials that would help more people… and thus, I opened this blog.
This is what they say…
